Sarlat is a beautiful medieval town in the Dordogne; full of fantastic architecture and is home to a proper bustling French market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The range of food was fantastic with everything you would expect from a southern french market including a giant range of the regions speciality; foie gras. This post is pretty photo heavy...the food was all too gorgeous!!
Gigantic cheese wheels!
We arrived pretty early as its gets notoriously busy and it was still 30C...there's nothing quite like the novelty of wondering around an amazing food market in the sunshine! Hungry, we just had to pick up a punnet of succulent strawbs for breakfast to eat as we wondered around; so deliciously sweet and juicy!
